Writing a science research paper
As you can see from the title, science research papers are all about research. In other words, if for an essay it is enough that you express your own ideas, a science research paper requires you to either carry out a research in the science you study or analyze research findings of other representatives of that science.
Science research paper or what?
One more important point is that science research papers differ from research papers in humanities. The latter require little research and much creativity and analytical thinking. Regarding the science research papers, it is all almost opposite. In other words, science research papers require their authors to do much research but also to provide considerable analyses of those research findings. Therefore, it is obvious that for an ordinary student science research papers are much more difficult tasks than research papers in humanity.
Structuring your science research paper
If you still want to write a science research paper even despite the difficulties it will be associated with, you should definitely know how to structure such a work. Traditionally, science research papers include:
- Research background and rationale;
- Research questions and hypotheses;
- Literature review;
- Discussion and analysis;
- Conclusions and recommendations;
- Works cited page.
Such a structure of science research papers, which nevertheless can be modified in relation to the requirements that your teacher might have, allows providing precise science research data and makes it convenient for the readers to follow the development of thought of the research authors, i. e. ordinary students writing science research papers professionally.
